In John 3:16, the Bible records the mind of the Father as follows:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The coup in heaven lead by Lucifer, "son of the morning," to usurp God's throne and dominion was so disheartening and heartbreaking that it left God with no other choice than to kick him out of heaven, to include the angels who sided with him. Renamed Satan (meaning: accuser, adversary) after his expulsion from heaven, he was fully determined to cause God pain for the judgment of eternal condemnation. He went to work with his co-accursed angels to corrupt God's most priceless procession--man, which God made for Himself. From thence, man fell and sin came into the world, destroying the beauty of God's perfect creation.
God, being a holy God, lost fellowship with man. Over the years till this moment, it has been a constant battle between the forces of light who are loyal to God, and the forces of darkness who are loyal to Satan. All for the souls of men, Satan has the power using every evil devising to lure men to eternal destruction and damnation. To inflict pain upon God, Satan and his demons have messed up God's one perfect and beautiful creation, to the hurting and anguish of the Father.
As the battle of the ages rages, the pain, anguish, and sorrow in the Father's heart deepens. His heartbreak gets more intense as He agonizes over man, His priceless creation. To remedy this, the Father gave His only begotten son, that by man believing in Him, the Father's lost possession can be reconciled to Himself. The word reconciliation used in its more expressive terms means, "pleading, begging with much persuasion." Today, the Father is pleading and begging with much persuasion that we come back to Him. He is doing this through soul winners.
This is why we refer to the soul winner as the Father's heartbeat. The Father will go to great measure to look out for a soul winner. He/she is God's only hope to reconciling mankind. The soul winner sees the void and vacuum in the heart of the Father. He stays in that lonely place with the Father each time a soul is permanently lost. He brings joy to the Father's heart each time a soul is won to the kingdom. The soul winner is one that the Father cannot do without, which is why He goes to great lengths to look out for the soul winner. Jesus in His glorified body, commanded His disciples to go into all the world and make disciples of all men, that is commissioning them as soul winners.
Dearly beloved, every Christian virtue, love, joy, and peace are all indices of the higher and beautiful life in Christ Jesus. Worship, praise, and thanksgiving are all attributes and lifestyle of a Christian. However, soul winning remains the greatest service of love that God asks of you and me.
Each time a soul dies without accepting Jesus, he or she is lost for all eternity and there is no two ways about that, and this breaks the Father's heart so terribly. For in as much as He desires that all men be saved, He still allows us the choice, being an impartial God.
Man is the crowning glory of the Father, the express image and the out-shinning beauty of God. Thus, God is redeeming His lost glory in the reconciliation of man to Himself. The soul winner in this light, becoming God's only hope.
Today, my dearly beloved, I appeal to you to come with me to that lonely place in the Father's heart where He yearns for the souls of men; where He yearns for fellowship with His priceless procession. Today, I appeal to you to become a soul winner, to develop a conscious lifestyle of telling sinners about Jesus. Share what it takes to become a soul winner.
Will you come along? I promise you, if you make up your mind today to become a soul winner, God will always look out for you. You can be involved in many ways. You can knock on doors to tell people about Jesus. You can do it from your job place. You can go for missions trips. You can also sponsor mission trips.
As you make up your mind today to bring joy to the Father's heart, He will flood your life with every good thing. God bless you in your decision. Always, the Holy Spirit is ever present to help you. Amen.
